“If more of us had some of the answers to these questions, then we can share that understanding with those that keep from believing in God because of these same questions. I can have these questions and lack of understanding and still believe, but for many they can not make that leap and if I had a better understanding myself, maybe I can help lead them to believing in God. These disasters like the one in Haiti 2010 bring up these questions and contribute to more non-believers or fuel the argument of if there was a God, then why all the starving children under rubble. I know if some of my questions were answered, I could be more affective in my witnessing.”

I believe and can wrap my mind around: God is the creator. God created Jesus and sent him to us in order for our sins to be forgiven. God is love. God created us with a free will. God performs miracles. If you believe that Jesus was sent to us in order for us to be forgiven for our sins and have chose God as your Savior then your soul will join him in Heaven when you die.

What I do not understand is: God created an angel knowing he would fall and bring other angels with him. God created earth knowing its dirt, water and air would be filled with toxins and that natural disasters would cause the countless deaths of his children’s lives. God created humans with free will knowing it would allow for the wage of war for which the devil fights for human souls. He gave us the choice to love him hence “free will” instead of creating a world of believers without sin…..Only to have a world of believers after watching the world destroy itself for thousands and thousands of years until the time of Rapture when good and evil are separated. God will then destroy the world only to rebuild a “Heaven on Earth”. So if in the end he has his “Heaven on Earth” then why didn’t he create that in the beginning? Why? Only to destroy the earth and start all over again just so who is left loves him willingly….

So Heaven on earth is not by a wave of his hand but by free will selection…his “people” will have decided it for themselves. But now the devil also has souls. If God made “Heaven on Earth” to begin with…the devil would not have souls and his children would not have endured centuries of murder, rape, molestation, famine, disease, and disasters. Children would not go trapped under rubble for four days after the earthquake in Haiti in January 2010 only to starve to death while suffering relentlessly. If God allows disasters to occur in order to build a platform to bring us to our knees to remind us that we need him, then why a second earthquake when the FIRST brought Haitians out into the streets praising him and glorifying him in the midst of horrific circumstances and displaying a sense of peace and calmness that is not from human nature but could only be explained as divine intervention. He does not cause disasters to happen, but he allows them to happen. He has the power to stop the earth's crust from moving and causing the earthquake if he wanted, but he chooses not to. He allows things to happen for purposes that we do not understand. Most I believe is so that we are reminded that we need him and that miracles come out of horrific circumstances. We witness divine intervention for some. Maybe we have to have such horrific events to grab the attention of the multitude so the miracle stories reach so many at once. God sent his son to earth for a divine purpose. He knew his son was going to die following torture. His son’s death was going to have an infinite affect on lives to follow. Everything God does or allows to happen is for a divine purpose that has an infinite affect on lives to follow. Some events are personal and some are global. He sometimes teaches/reaches small groups, sometimes countries and some times continents; all in an effort to bring Him to our hearts and minds. Then we are back to God wanting us to "choose" to believe in him so that after the world comes to an end and Heaven on Earth is built, then God will walk amongst the free will believers....but why not just build "Heaven on Earth" to begin with and the death of his son to the Earthquake in Haiti would not need to serve a purpose. I don’t fully understand. If I was not supposed to understand the ways of our Lord then why was the Bible written.

The ultimate question is what God gains out of having a Heaven on Earth with believers that chose through free will to believe vs. having a Heaven on Earth he created with believers ….if we use the simple reasoning that a “parent” does not want to force their child to love them then we are giving God human characteristics. If we were created to love him then we would know nothing else.

Answer: Agape is love which is of and from God, whose very nature is love itself, purest form of love. God loves because that is His nature and the expression of His being. The love produced by God is selfless and that is why he does not demand our love by creating beings that were innate believers. He created us with a free will. God’s love is unselfish in the sense that it allows us to love him if we choose. The ultimate of love is to love something with no expectation that it loves you back.

That is exactly right. I gift that is forced, not given, isn't a gift at all. We could not have this amazing world if it was not exactly the way it is. God knows, that in order for heaven to be as amazing as it is., earth has to be just as it is. Probably a bad analogy, but, how do you know what good food is??? You know because you have tsated bad food. Can you imagine if we were made in a place, forced to love it, forced to love Him... know that would not be very heavenly would it?
